Got Debt?

0% APR cards to the rescue

The Fed cut interest rates by a quarter of a percent earlier this month. That's a bit of good news for borrowers, but credit card interest rates are still high — an average of 24.36% in September, according to a LendingTree report. If you carry a balance on your credit card, that kind of interest can rack up really quickly.

We'll be honest: We don't love making interest payments. One of our favorite tools in our debt-crushing toolbox is the 0% APR credit card, which offers an interest-fee period before a regular APR kicks in. You can leverage these in a couple ways. Got a bigger purchase coming up? Put it on an 0% APR card for new purchases and pay it off without accruing interest. If you already carry a credit card balance that's accruing interest, pick a 0% APR balance transfer card to give yourself a bit of breathing room to pay down your debt.

If you're in the market for a 0% APR credit card, check out our list of favorites. This month's roundup includes cards with intro APR periods up to 21 months.

$10K or More in Debt? Most People Don’t Realize This Option Exists

If you're not a big spender, it can feel especially frustrating to find yourself buried in debt. But with inflation and the rising cost of daily essentials, it's no surprise many people are leaning on credit cards just to get by. That's where National Debt Relief comes in. If you owe at least $10,000 in unsecured debt, like credit cards or medical bills, they can help by working with your creditors to reduce what you owe and setting up a payment plan that fits your budget. While there is a fee based on the amount settled, it's usually far less than the original debt, and many people become debt-free in just 24 to 48 months. National Debt Relief has already helped over 500,000 people find relief, and it only takes a few minutes to see your options with a free consultation.
